How long until we can expect to see our photos from our wedding?

90 days is what we officially quote, but typically most weddings are delivered in 4 weeks. Within 48 hours of your wedding we will send you a Sneak Peek gallery with 15-20 edited images of your wedding day. 

Do we need a second shooter?

Yes. A second shooter is included in all of our packages.

What should I wear for the engagement session?

Once you are ready to schedule your session we will send you an engagement session guide that will not only give you style tips, but will also answer all your engagement session questions.

Can you make me look thinner or have better skin?

ANYTHING is possible in Photoshop but in general we have found that proper posing and good lighting usually eliminate the need for Photoshop. If there is something that really bothers you, we can help.  

What if you get sick on our wedding day?

It has never happened, and I would have to be in the hospital to not shoot a wedding, but if it did happen I would have another professional photographer shoot in my place. I have connections with several amazingly talented photographers.  

Will you photograph our wedding if we practice a different religion or have a different sexual orientation than you? 

Absolutely.  

Do you back up your photos?  

Yes. After the wedding, your images are uploaded to an external hard drive.  The cards are then placed in a fireproof safe until your final gallery is delivered.  

How many weddings do you accept a year? Which seasons book out first? 

In order to give couples the personal attention they deserve, we commit to a limited number of weddings each year.  Spring and Fall are the most popular seasons and usually book out first.  

What information should we share in our inquiry? 

We believe that the key to creating stunning and timeless wedding photos is to have a strong vision and collaboration between the photographer, the couple, and the planning/design team. This is why we are careful about the weddings we accept and strive to find the best fit for both ourselves and our clients. What is your style? 

We deeply believe that the memories of your special day should be captured in the most exquisite detail, with true-to-life colors and crisp details, and without the use of heavy editing or filters.  We aim to capture candid, spontaneous moments as well as more formal, posed shots. We want to tell the story of your special day through a mix of candid and posed images that will create beautiful and lasting memories.

How does the retainer work?

Flexible Payment Options for Your Wedding:

Option 1: Secure your wedding date with a 50% non-refundable retainer. Pay the remaining 50% one month before the wedding.

Option 2: Secure your wedding date with a 1/3 non-refundable retainer. Make a 1/3 payment midway to your wedding date, and pay the remaining 1/3 one month before the wedding.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Major credit cards, Venmo, PayPal and personal check.  

Do you offer prints?

Yes, we offer a variety of printing options and you can access them directly through your online gallery.  Options include: prints, metal prints, wrapped canvas, and mounted prints. 

What kind of equipment do you shoot with and is it insured?  Are you insured? 

For photography: (2)Canon R5 cameras, L series Canon lenses and I use two memory cards in each camera. Yes, my equipment is insured through State Farm.  Yes, my personal liability insurance is through State Farm and I am happy to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance. For videography Thomas uses: Panasonic S1 cameras. 

How many images can we expect from our engagement session & wedding?

During a typical day expect anywhere from 900 to 1200 images. Another rule of thumb is about 100 an hour. Of course, this will vary based on your day and amount of coverage you desire. A typical engagement session is about 60 to 100 images.  

What do we do if it's raining at our engagement session or wedding day? 

Rainy days happen and we have captured many amazing moments for couples in the rain! Depending on
your venue, we can shoot in covered areas or brave the weather for some killer rain shots (We promise you
these will end up being some of your most favorite photos from the day!). We have captured weddings in the last 3 major hurricanes and make it our mission to create memorable moments for my couples no matter the weather! 

Do you travel? If so, what is the travel fee?

We typically only travel within a few hours of Raleigh. We are open to travel but handle travel pricing on a case by case scenario.  

Where can I buy wedding insurance?

WedSafe.  A WedSafe policy will protect you if you need to cancel your wedding for severe weather, sudden illness, lost/non-refundable deposits, vendor bankruptcy and more.

Will you accept our wedding if we don't hire a wedding planner?

While it's not required, most of the couples we work with have obtained a full-service wedding planner.  This is very important to us in terms of not only logistics (vendor team coordination, transportation, etc) but also stylistically (sharing vision boards, helping to coordinate flatlays, and detail shot list planning, editorial submissions, etc).
