We officially quote a 90-day turnaround, but most weddings are delivered within four weeks. Within 48 hours of your wedding, you’ll receive a Sneak Peek gallery with 15–20 edited images capturing key moments from your day.

Do we need a second shooter?
Yes. A second photographer is included in all of our packages to ensure every important moment is captured seamlessly.

What should we wear for our engagement session?
Once your session is scheduled, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive engagement session guide. It includes style recommendations and answers to common questions, ensuring you feel confident and prepared.

Can you retouch images to make me look thinner or improve my skin?
Proper posing and good lighting naturally enhance your best features, often eliminating the need for extensive retouching. However, if there’s something specific that concerns you, we’re happy to discuss how we can help.

What happens if you’re sick on our wedding day?
In all my years of photographing weddings, this has never happened—I would need to be in the hospital to miss a wedding. However, in the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, I have strong relationships with several highly skilled photographers who would step in to ensure your day is captured beautifully.

Do you photograph weddings for all religions and all couples?
Absolutely.

Do you back up our photos?
Yes. After your wedding, all images are immediately uploaded to an external hard drive. Memory cards are then stored in a fireproof safe until your final gallery is delivered.

How many weddings do you accept per year? Which seasons book first?
To provide a truly personalized experience, we take on a limited number of weddings each year. Spring and fall are our busiest seasons and tend to book first.

What is your style?
We believe your wedding memories should be captured in exquisite detail, with true-to-life colors and crisp clarity—free from heavy editing or filters. Our approach blends candid, spontaneous moments with thoughtfully posed shots, telling the story of your day in a way that is both timeless and authentic.

How does the retainer work?
We offer two flexible options to secure your wedding date:

Option 1: A 50% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date, with the remaining 50% due one month before the wedding.
Option 2: A 1/3 non-refundable retainer, followed by a 1/3 payment midway to your wedding date, and the final 1/3 one month before the wedding.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and personal checks.

Do you offer prints?
Yes, a variety of high-quality printing options are available directly through your online gallery. These include prints, metal prints, wrapped canvases, and mounted prints.

What kind of equipment do you use, and are you insured?
I photograph using Canon R5 cameras with L-series lenses, ensuring every moment is captured in stunning quality. Each camera uses dual memory cards for added security.
Yes, all of my equipment is insured through State Farm, and I also carry personal liability insurance through State Farm. A Certificate of Liability Insurance is available upon request.
For videography, Thomas uses Panasonic S1 cameras to deliver exceptional results.

How many images can we expect from our engagement session and wedding?
For a typical wedding day, you can expect between 900 to 1,200 images, roughly 100 per hour of coverage. Engagement sessions typically yield 60 to 100 images. The final number will depend on the details and coverage of your day.

What happens if it rains during our engagement session or wedding day?
Rain can create some of the most memorable and striking photos! Depending on your venue, we can utilize covered areas or embrace the weather for dramatic and unique rain shots—many couples find these to be their favorites. With experience photographing weddings through hurricanes, I’m confident we’ll create something beautiful no matter the weather.

Do you travel? If so, what is the travel fee?
While we primarily work within a few hours of Raleigh, we’re open to traveling. Travel fees are handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness and transparency.

Where can we buy wedding insurance?
WedSafe offers policies to protect against severe weather, sudden illness, lost deposits, vendor issues, and more. It’s an excellent option for peace of mind.

Will you accept our wedding if we don’t have a planner?
While it’s not a requirement, most of the couples we work with partner with a full-service wedding planner. A planner plays a vital role in logistics (vendor coordination, transportation, timelines) and styling (vision boards, flatlay coordination, detail shot planning, and editorial submissions). A planner ensures every detail aligns perfectly for a seamless experience.
