Do you offer rehearsal dinner coverage or other pre-wedding videography?

Yes, we offer rehearsal dinner coverage as an add-on to our wedding videography packages.  These sessions allow us to get to know you better and to create beautiful footage that will showcase your unique love story. 

Can we request specific shots or moments be captured? 

Yes, we welcome your input and ideas.  We will work with you to create a shot list and to ensure that all of your desired shots and moments are captured.  

Do you travel? If so, what is the travel fee?

We typically only travel within a few hours of Raleigh. We are open to travel but handle travel pricing on a case by case scenario.  

Where can I buy wedding insurance?

WedSafe. A WedSafe policy will protect you if you need to cancel your wedding for severe weather, sudden illness, lost/non-refundable deposits, vendor bankruptcy and more. 

Will you be the only videographer at our wedding?

As the owner and lead videographer of Thomas Blake Films, I am committed to capturing the essence of your day. However, depending on the package and availability, I may be accompanied by a skilled team of videographers who uphold the same high standards and artistic vision.

What if you get sick on our wedding day?

It has never happened, and I would have to be in the hospital to not shoot a wedding, but if it did happen I would have another professional videographer shoot in my place. I have connections with several amazingly talented videographers.  

If we select the photo + video package will we have a contract with Thomas Blake Films as well?

Because of COVID-19, we are no longer creating joint contracts.  While our teams will be working seamlessly together, you will be signing a contract with both Thomas Blake Films related to videography and also Pamela Jahnke Photography related to photography.  

Do you backup your footage?  

Yes. After the wedding we upload your memory cards to an external hard drive.

What is your style?

Our approach is rooted in authenticity. We understand that the most powerful and cherished moments are those that are natural and unscripted. With a blend of unobtrusive documentary-style coverage and carefully curated artistic shots, we strive to capture the genuine emotions, laughter, and tears that make your wedding uniquely yours.

What is your booking process?

We recommend scheduling a consultation with us to discuss your specific videography needs and to get to know us better.  Once we have a clear understanding of your vision and requirements, we will provide you with a detailed quote and contract.  A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your wedding date. 

How long are the films?

You can expect about an hour of video if you choose the photo + video highlight package. This package includes a 4-5 minute highlight film, full ceremony, dances, and toasts. We also offer a photo + video feature film package that includes an 8-10 minute feature film. *Longer films are available upon request.

How are the films delivered?

We will provide you with a digital link to download your final edited film.  

Are films HD? 

Absolutely! 

How long will it take to receive my film after my wedding?

We pride ourselves on delivering your film in a
timely manner. We officially quote 90 days, but it is often much sooner depending on the time of year.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Canon C70s, a variety of high-quality prime and zoom lenses, tripods, drone, gimbal, and more.  

Do you offer aerial footage via drone?

Yes, we are pleased to offer drone coverage as part of our wedding videography services. Our skilled drone operators are experienced in capturing stunning aerial footage that adds a unique perspective to your wedding video. Drone coverage can beautifully showcase your venue, capture sweeping landscape shots, and provide breathtaking cinematic moments. Please note that drone services are subject to location regulations, weather conditions, and venue permissions. We will work closely with you and the necessary parties to ensure a safe and spectacular aerial experience for your wedding video.

How is the music for the film selected? 

We understand that music plays a significant role in setting the mood and capturing the emotions of your wedding day. We welcome your input and offer the option for you to provide a selection of preferred songs or genres for your wedding video. Our team will work closely with you to ensure that the chosen music complements the overall narrative and enhances the viewing experience. We also have access to a vast library of licensed music, which allows us to find the perfect soundtrack that aligns with your vision and the style of your wedding.
